Thursday, August 6th, I put on some medieval-style clothes, a heavily modified helmet, and a whole bunch of jewelry, and headed out to meet the people of Vaasa during the Night of the Arts.

This year’s Night of the Arts was largely online due to the pandemic, but a number of organisations did have live presentations, demonstrations and shows, and while the event didn’t have the crowds it usually pulls, the streets were far from deserted.

We stayed giving out business cards for about an hour, and had some great conversations with people. The overall experience was a good opening to this kind of events. I plan to keep improving my Medieval gear and return next year.
