Description
Four pieces of Lapis Lazuli connected to a hook by a short stainless steel Byzantine chain. The hooks are made of nickel-free material. Comes supplied with silicone stoppers, and a booklet-style leather holder.
Lapis lazuli has been mined in the Indus Valley since at least the 7th millennium BCE, and has been highly valued since before written history. Lapis lazuli ground into powder was used to make ultramarine, the most valued of the Renaissance era pigments, which was typically reserved for central religious figures, and particularly associated with Virgin Mary.

Kusari gusoku is an umbrella term used for Japanese chainmail armour. The hexagonal 6-to-1 maille pattern used here was known as hana gusari. The links are doubled up to improve the strength and stability of the weave.
